From instability in the Middle East, to the rising occurrences of computer hacking or global warming and its impact on human populations, there’s a whole range of global security challenges which face business, government and international organisations today.

As a result, employers across industries have begun to seek out graduates who have the confidence to provide advice on these issues and how to minimise their impacts.

The Bachelor of International Security Studies will develop your analytical skills and knowledge of the security challenges facing our world with particular reference to the Asia-Pacific region. You’ll develop Asian language skills, have the flexibility to choose electives in other disciplines from across ANU and participate in a range of hands-on extra-curricular activities.

If you dream of a career in international relations with the United Nations or picture yourself working in foreign affairs for government, or even an intelligence agency, this degree is exactly what you are looking for. You’ll be taught by internationally renowned experts and graduate with a highly regarded qualification that will open doors to a successful career.

We also have an exciting range of overseas study opportunities, from exchanges, internships, study tours and more. Our College leads the University in international student mobility – 98% of our graduating cohort have taken a global study option, and so can you!

Come along to this session and hear from one of Australia’s foremost intelligence experts, John Blaxland, about how the Bachelor of International Security Studies can give you the global outlook you need to succeed.
